Teacher score prioritized in LTI activities
Buzz Release Notes
A round-up of all improvements and changes to the Buzz platform, version 3.0.510 available on April 30, 2026.
Teacher score prioritized in LTI activities
When a teacher sets a score for an LTI activity, Buzz now protects that score from being overwritten by an external LTI tool if the student retakes the activity without being granted a retry. Scores set by Buzz through the Automatically assign the minimum activity score to past-due activities setting are also protected.

Buzz updates
In this release, we:
- Improved security by enforcing all Assessment templates to render in iframes.
- Renamed the Hide to-do header in the Teacher > View/Delete courses screen to Hide needs grading to better represent the setting's function. When the box is checked for a course, submissions that need grading in that course are hidden from the Needs grading screen
Buzz fixes
In this release, we also fixed an issue where student enrollments could sometimes be attributed teacher actions in BusyBee usage reports.
