Hey Kevin McBride, as of last October, teachers or admins can delete badges that were mistakenly awarded to a learner. You no longer need to do this through the API. See the release note.

Yes, this was changed in yesterday's update. We were able to successfully fix the problem we were initially needed to fix while retaining the ability to process the videos asynchronously.
