Hey Bruce!  This can be performed currently by selecting the activity name from the column header of the teacher's gradebook. We will take your suggestions into consideration.

Hey Michael! The enrollment owner permission is for allowing users the ability to grant observers over enrollments. To edit an enrollment the user will need the course owner permission.
