Hello Michael! Extra credit for grade status implies that a score was returned to the student with extra credit. In that example the student did not receive a score and was excused.

Update: We have made a change to address this behavior. It will take some time to catch up. It's hard to say exactly how long before those syncs start, but hopefully in the next 4-6 hours.

Hello David! Course settings apply to all students. If you need to gate specific students for specific activities you will need to do so through the activity settings and the use of student groups.
