If there was a change in a derivative course question, is there any way to relink that question back to the base course? I read that once the question has been changed, it creates a new id, is there any way to change the id back to point to the base course? If not, is there a way to lock or not allow question changes in derivative courses?
It is possible to relink the question in the derivative course to the master course. Please have your authorized support contact submit a ticket to Agilix Support to address which questions need to be aligned to inherit changes again, and we would be happy to explore possible options!
Additionally, I would also recommend for the future that if you want to preserve inheritance of question changes to a derivative course question, the best way to prevent breaking the relationship to inherit is to not make edits to questions in the derivative courses. If teachers are making undesired changes, it is possible to remove edit course rights from teachers which would remove their ability to make edits within the course editor and questions.
