Hi, we use master courses and submaster courses on the platform. We teach multiple schools (15 or more). The are set up so if I make a change to a question, assignment... it trickles down to the submasters which is great and helpful.
From the viewpoint of a teacher, it would be great If I could see all the grades for all my students in the master, versus clicking on school A, so see those grades, then school B . I do create spreadsheets from the data to see all the grades at once, but it would be convenient to look in the gradebook to see which students are ahead, which are behind and where the majority of students are.
Additionally, with the laws requiring weekly wellness checks and attendance, this would be even more helpful. It is too difficult to use Buzz during the meeting to keep track of students b/c they are coming from multiple schools, and this means you would have to jump back and forth from submaster to submaster to keep up. During live lessons, all schools attend, so you have students from school A, school B and School C all at once. Currently the solution is a spreadsheet for each school to keep up with marking the attendance for each school and give access to each school to see their own students. There is a separate spreadsheet for school A, School B and school C..... Admin. and monitors from school A can only see School A information. ) This is also challenging, keeping them separate and also, you have to be diligent with keeping up with students being newly added or withdrawn from the course adding them to and from the spreadsheet.
What we would like is do this all easily on the platform itself, perhaps in the master of the course, all the current students populate and either by using a template, or perhaps creating an attendance template for us (date/ attended y/n, camera on/off, mic on/off, participated, comment) that we can easily mark all of this while staying on one screen on the master, As the teacher I can see school A, School B and School C all at once. This information trickles down to each school individually and School A can only see School A information. Then with the use of reporting tools, all the information on attendance can be pulled at once. If students in school B are added and in school C are removed, the master will automatically update and be the most up to date version when wellness checks and live lessons are being done.
Looking forward to seeing if you can help us.
