Why do embed code videos get converted to Course Resources? Can this be changed?

Hello,

During our course setup with our teachers, we have noticed that when they embed a video file into their course Landing Page, Buzz actually converts it to a course resource. This presents issues, because if they are trying to copy/paste their Landing Page information then into multiple other courses, the video won't come through because the file is now apparently a Course Resource.

It looks like this also happens to Loom and YouTube videos when the embed code is used - is it possible to adjust this so that the iframe embed code continues to accurately point to the source, rather than converting it to a course-specific Buzz resource item?

Thanks for any insight and consideration!

Hello again - I forgot to add that another aspect of the frustration is that initially, copying/pasting the Landing page code DOES seem to work. When we paste the code, we can toggle away from code view and see the video fine. Saving it and looking at the full Landing Page also looks fine at that point. But then hours later it will disappear. If the intended functionality is and will remain that the video embed is converted to a course-specific resource, can you please fix this gap where it appears the copy/paste works and then it disappearing hours later? What would contribute to that, some cookie situation? Thanks!
