The student's grade would remain the same as long as the student's enrollment is being moved into a course that contains the same activity IDs as their current course and that the student is placed into a group that uses the same group activity settings that impact scores.
If the student enrollment were moved to a course without the same activity IDs, the student's grade would not appear correctly in the new course. If the student were placed in a grouping with different gradebook options within the activity settings such as weight, passing score, include score in final grade, etc., the student's grade may be affected.
I recommend moving the enrollment of a test student before moving other students to make sure the results are what you desire.
Does this make sense? Please let me know if you have any questions.
