Note: Because Practice questions activities are meant to give students immediate feedback to respond to, File upload questions are not available in them.
While I appreciate your intent there are things I need my students to do that Buzz is unable to facilitate, such as graphing. The only solution currently is to have students graph on their own paper and upload a photo of their work. I agree immediate feedback is valuable. For example, it would be useful to have several questions where my algebra students are identifying important properties from graphs and equations (like slopes and intercepts) where they get immediate feedback. Then, a few cumulative questions at the end where they make their own graphs would be logical. Those would have to be file uploads (unless you add a graphing feature). It wouldn't really be cohesive for me to give them a second assignment made as an assessment activity just so I can use the file upload type.
