Bulk Grading -- Can we add a component that allows us to give bulk feedback at the same time?

Hey there Buzz/Agilix Team,

In my course, I use a gated structure where students must complete all unit work and the practice test before they are eligible to sign up for the unit test. They must finish one unit before progressing to the next. While deadlines are set, I do allow late submissions to support student learning.

Currently, when I use the bulk update function to assign a 0% and a retry for students who have not submitted required assignments, I would also like to provide consistent feedback at the same time. Ideally, this could be done using the grading feedback templates that already exist within Buzz. Having the ability to bulk apply both grades and standardized feedback would streamline grading, improve consistency in communication, and help students better understand class processes and procedures.

This would be a valuable enhancement to my grading practices and, I believe, to other educators as well. If this functionality could be considered for a future update, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and for continuing to make Buzz a powerful instructional tool.

Sincerely,

Sam Martinez

Just keep in mind, if I wanted to add the same feedback currently to my class of about 130 kids.... Let's say 30 of those are not submitted....

30 clicks into the gradebook
30 copy/pastes (or clicks) on the template feedback

That is 60 clicks, and loading time each week when it could be one key stroke.  This is assuming that I do not mistakenly add this feedback to someone that should not have gotten it, which would set me back for sure.

I am just giving perspective on the extra work I have to do to add that feedback to each non-submission that become a 0% and a retry.

For further reference, I was just able to do this exact process and it took me about 3-4 minutes of clicks and copy/pastes.  My internet was working well so loading screens were limited.  Sometimes, when it slows down, that could have taken twice as long.
