Is it possible to assign an item, such as a make up test, to just ONE student? If so, how?

It is possible to assign something to just one student. You do this through the clipboard.

1. Check the box in front of the student's name in either your gradebook or the people screen. Click the plus button in the upper right corner to add that student (or multiple students) to your clipboard.

2. Select the clipboard from the button in the upper right corner. You should see something like the screenshot below. Note I cut off the student names that you should see on the left.

3. Click "search library" and navigate to the item you wish to assign. Click "add to cart" to select the item and either link or copy.

4. Note that you have to check "gradable" in the clipboard screen. Now just follow the prompts. Buzz will make you set many of the activity options such as how many points it is worth. At the end click assign activity.

The student can access the assignment in 2 places. They can go to their gradebook and there should be a space for it that they can click. They can also go to the For Me tab which shows a list of items assigned through the clipboard.

Notice that the teacher also has a For Me tab. You will see a list of all of your students that will show everything you have assigned through the clipboard.

If you search the discussion boards, I imagine Agilix has a post that more thoroughly explains how to use the clipboard.
