Due Dates

We have one particular course that is assigning entire units on one day to students rather than spreading them our throughout the students enrollment dates. We have checked all the settings for this continuous course and it seems the same as all other courses but they spread out the dates

Good afternoon Darci,

Soft due dates assigned in continuous courses are influenced by a number of things. These include:

  • The sequence of activities in the course.
  • The number of non-gradable activities between gradable activities.
  • The weight of each activity.
  • Any blackout dates that have been specified by the school or the teacher.
  • Any blackout dates that students have created (if the school allows this).
  • The student's preferred schedule for due dates (if the school allows this).
    • Note: Automatically generated due dates are never assigned to Saturdays or Sundays unless they are intentionally selected.
  • The number of days and date range assigned to the course.

If you would like me to look into a specific course, would you please provide the course ID to this post? That will allow me to investigate further.
