I would like to investigate this behavior further. Could you provide me with the enrollment ID of a student who cannot see the "New Thread" button and the activity ID of the discussion? Those additional details will allow me to investigate this behavior further. If you prefer, you may reach out to the authorized support contact at your organization to create a ticket with Agilix Support rather than share those details on this public forum.
It looks like your user account resides within a domain under the School Pathways domain hierarchy. Meaning, you should be able to reach out to School Pathways for questions and support. In certain cases, such as possible bugs within the system, School Pathways can then escalate the issue via a ticket with Agilix Support.
Here is the link to the School Pathways Support contact page: Contact School Pathways Support. Should you require further assistance after contacting School Pathways Support, please keep me updated.
As an Agilix team member, I can investigate this reported behavior further if you don't mind sharing the previously requested information with me on this public forum. Alternatively, you may escalate the reported behavior with your organization's authorized support contact over at School Pathways as they have access to your school's Buzz domain and can help facilitate support.
Thank you. The activity ID is c2c277e04c1043bb9619524cba1e7dcb. I don't want to share the student's enrollment ID, but this is impacting all students in that course.
Unfortunately, I cannot locate that activity within the system without a course or enrollment ID. Would you be able to provide me with the course ID instead?
Thank you for providing me with that course ID! Currently, there is only one active student enrollment for that course. When I proxy as the only student with an active enrollment and navigate to the course and activity as the student, I can see the "New Thread" button and post to the discussion. Could you perform those same steps and see if the "New Thread" button is present on the activity while proxied as the student?
When I view as the student, this is what I see. The one active student is the one who couldn't see the button. Note the teacher excused them so they could move on in the course.
It looks like you're utilizing the "View As" feature to view the activity as the student. However, it is expected behavior that not all elements (including the New Thread button) on the page will be visible to a user who is viewing an activity as another user. This is to prevent teachers from actually submitting assignments on behalf of students.
In general, the "View As" feature can be extremely helpful when comparing content differences for activities that have been personalized for a specific user or group. However, to truly see and act within Buzz as another user, the Proxy feature should be utilized. For a detailed list of steps and screenshots showing how admins can proxy as other users, I recommend checking out our "How do I proxy as another user?" Help Center article.

I'm happy to share that with our authorized support contact but I'm not aware of who that would be.

Thank you. However, these discussions were created within Buzz. Is there anyone at Agilix who could take a look at them?

I have reached out to School Pathways as well.
Our support team at school pathways informed me that unless this is something to do with the integration, they are not able to help us.
Unfortunately, I cannot locate that activity within the system without a course or enrollment ID. Would you be able to provide me with the course ID instead?
This is the ID I see listed on the course: 196652711.

I also wanted to note that it is expected behavior for users with inactive enrollments to not see the "New Thread" button.
