due dates for sequential classes - B course activities due before A is completed?

My student is taking 2 classes which are delivered as "sequential classes" an A & B  part - (Geometry and Geography) however, even though she has set a date to finish with each course (the A section on 11/11 and the B section on 1/13), the automatic due dates will have assignments due for the B course before the A course finishes. How do we set it up to not assign the B course until the A is done? I ordered simply "Geometry" & "Geography"  (not 2 geometry and 2 geography classes)

If they are two separate courses do not have the start date for the second course enrollment before the end date of the first course enrollment. If the two subjects are contained in one course it becomes extremely difficult to manage the soft due dates of a continuous enrollment as those are generated based on number of items in the course, weight of the items, and more.
