Is student activity always recorded

I have a student standing by the fact that he logged in last night around 11 pm. I see no activity and am questioning him. He says he logged on with his iPhone. He did that in front of me and it worked. Any thoughts?

Hello Jackie,

Any time a user successfully logs in it will be tracked in their user activity, there are not any instances where if a user authenticates fully in the system where it will not be tracked. There is often a delay in the activity being stored to the user activity history, so the login/logout log will note be in real time. Depending on what method you use to verify the login it may be needed to convert the time returned to the local time zone, for example if using the API call GetUserActivity the time returned will be in UTC, which will need to be offset to calculate the user's timezone.

The User Activity report in the Admin tools of Buzz will automatically offset the time to match the timezone of the computer being used to run the report.
