Request for Public Question Bank

One of the most time-consuming areas in Buzz is writing and building quality assessment questions.  It would be great if we were able to share, and look up from a library questions that others have built.

I would like to see the ability for a person creating an assessment be able to quickly filter questions by grade, subject, and academic standard or key concept. After finding the question, they would be able to insert this into their own question bank, assessment, or practice activity.

This would be amazing.

This is already sort of available within district with linked questions. Though I don't think it is searchable by topic.

Agilix would need to make items available to see outside your own domain. Each teacher and district would probably need to give permission too. I suppose there could be a check-box saying you give permission for users outside your domain to access your work.

Hi Bruce,

I know how to share entire activities and assessments within the corporation. Are we able to share only certain questions?

Yes (sort of). We are currently doing that in our Geometry course. We want to share the work load of creating questions, but it isn't a good idea to give everyone master-level access. We created a new course called Geometry Question Banks. We all contribute questions with each of us taking a specific topic. Then whoever has master-level access makes a new assessment. We use the linked-question button to select individual questions for the assessment. Each assessment in our bank is over a very specific topic with several questions (or one question written with variables). That essentially allows us to select an individual question. Here are a few screen shots that may help.

This is where you pull questions in from other sources.

Below is where you can choose questions from an entire folder down to an individual item.

Thanks Ryan. Can you offer any enlightenment on how far out you can search for question banks? Are you limited to within your own district or can you branch out further?

Thanks for the tips. Since some of the capabilities are already in place, it would be great to expand on this to make it easier to use and make questions searchable.
