Good to know. Do you know if those zeros are counted as "submitted" zeros on the student submission history?  Or does it keep the submission history reading as blank? 

Have any changes been made to this issue since the last post in 2016?  It would be a nice fix for us if, when the "automatically assign zeros to past due activities" setting is checked, that it kep...

I would like to add my support for including the number of assignments on filtered To Do lists.  Much missed feature!
