Hello! This might not address the issue you are having, but you can order the assignments differently. In EDITOR mode, you can select the WEIGHTS tab and drag and drop the assignments to order them.

Does each student receive a 'soft' 0 when their unique due date passes?

Just curious if this is in the near future at all?

The ability to bulk edit the student dropbox options would be nice as well.
