Emailing Multiple Students - BCC an option?

Does anyone know if there is a way to email multiple students but not have all the names appear at the bottom of the email. Like when emailing reminders about missing work, that should be confidential and not shared with every in the email list. It would be nice to be able to send the same email out individually or BCC without having to copy and paste it in a new email each time.

Yes, you can do this. From the people or gradebook screen you can check the box in front of individual students. You can also click the top box to select all.

Once you have the students selected, click the add to clipboard button in the upper right.

Now go to the clipboard. You can see it to the right of the yellow box in the image above.

Once in the clipboard go to the messages tab. You should see all the names from your clipboard in the To: box. You can click below to add observers if you want the parents to receive the email too (or whoever their observers are).

Type your subject and message then click send at the bottom. This will automatically BCC everyone for confidentiality.

To add further clarification, all messages sent from Buzz are sent only to one recipient and students do not see who else received the message. For example, if a teacher sends a message to a dozen students, each student will only see that it was sent to themselves.

The footer of the email is contextual for the recipient. If a teacher selects the option to send themself a message, they will see in the footer who were the recipients in the footer. However, a student that receives the message will not see who was sent the message in the footer.

Message sent to student:

Copy of message sent to teacher:

Does that make sense?

Thanks for clarifying Brad. I didn't know about the footer.

Your post says it is from the announcements. Does the same hold true when messaging through the clipboard?

Thank You everyone - As a tech guy I am embarrassed to say I never looked at it from the student end; just saw mine and got worried.

This is awesome.
