How do I set different due dates for different groups?

I have both in-class and virtual learners. I have created two groups to divide my students into each category. My question is: How do I set a specific due date for virtual learners and for in-class learners? My in-class learners will only use the program if they are in quarantine or if we have another long term shut-down. However, my virtual learners have already begun the program and the due dates I have entered are for pacing them.  My issue is that it shows the same due dates for my in-class learners who are not currently using the program. Thank you!

When you are in the assignment settings look in the upper right corner for the people silhouette. Click that and a list of your groups should pop up. Select a group. Set your due date for that group. Then go back to the list of groups and choose your other group. Set the due date for that group. That should do it.

Thank you Bruce!  I am able to change the group as you showed- but how do I navigate to the scheduling after that?  When I do, it still switches back to ALL groups.

Hmmm... I'm not sure what you mean. In the assignment settings I see the due date in the Activity Settings pane. You can see I'm in my pd 1 group.

After I set the due date, I click the group menu again and select a different group. Then this prompt pops up in the middle of the screen.

Clicking continue saves the setting for my first group and takes me to the next group I selected. Now I can set the due date for this group.

You could have clicked the Save button after setting the first group due date, but that takes you back to the syllabus. From there you have to go back to the editor again. Same effect, but more clicks.

Oh, now I know what you're talking about. The scheduler is the calendar where you drag the assignments and it automatically sets the due dates. That is much faster if you want to set many due dates at once. I don't think you can do it by groups in the scheduler though. I'm always in the editor anyway setting the visibility by date for each group, so I just set the due date while I'm there.

IF we are not too familiar with the length of each activity or assignment, what is the best way to create a semester long schedule of daily assignments? The teachers scope and sequence is not very helpful - other than giving a length of time to meet objectives.

Hi Larissa:

Could you expound on the scenario you are encountering? If I understood it correctly, you will need to edit it in each activity to be due on specific dates.
