We received this message from a parent:
Good morning! [student] uses notes a lot in his lessons.
Yesterday, he received an error notice that he exceeded the 1000 notes
maximum per user. He's going into older lessons to delete notes this
morning. Maybe even from last semester.
Granted, an average of seven notes a day is a lot. Considering a K-12 student could spend over 2000 days in school, over their career, wouldn't 1000 lifetime notes be a low threshold for an upper limit? What factors actually determine the total count used? (i.e. Do they auto delete after two years?) Is there an administrative way to delete old notes? This student has already created 271 notes since the current semester started, 29 days ago. He's bound to hit the limit again soon.
