I agree. I have the same problem. I can see a long string of numbers and letters that I assume indicate the original activity and question. That doesn't tell me anything though. Sometimes I need to find the original to make a correction or alteration.
You may identify the source activity by opening the linked activity editor and select the History button from the toolbar. Select Details from the latest historical entry on the list. At the top of the list of data we indicate the current activity you are viewing, below it is the linked activity with it's corresponding source course and activity ID indicated by the text: "link": { Attached is a screenshot of this.
For linked questions, you would scroll down that same details page to the questions section:"questions": { The entityID is the source course and the ID is the question ID housed in the source activity.
