Implemented feature idea or fixed bug
I just read the release notes for this week and found that if an assignment now has been scored it will no longer allow the student to resubmit. The issue we are having is that if the course auto assigns zeros to past due items, the student no longer is able to submit the assignment because a score has been entered. So any time the due date passes, the teacher must allow a retry.
This causes tedious work having to always allow retries to unsubmitted assignments, not to mention it delays students if a teacher does not get the retry allowed right away.

Hey, Ryan. This is a bug and will be fixed in this week's release. I am sorry for the frustration it has caused.
I see you have fixed the bug...now zeros are not being entered at the due date at all because we always allow late submissions. The setting should be tied to the due date and not the grace period because the activities are past due after the due date.
"Automatically assign zero scores to past-due activities"
I may have prematurely spoken, it does appear to be working. I had a teacher tell me it wasn't. It just recorded the zeros late. For an item due on 10/17 at 11:59pm, the zero was recorded on 10/18 at 9:28pm. This won't be an issue, just good to know that it way record late due to processing times.
