Buzz: Product Feedback

Streamline grading process for essay type answers in assessments (from Joe Correa)

Joe Correa writes:

The Buzz format for grading is a slower process now for grading “essay” type answers in an assignment.

The first image below is the BH method. With the old method, for example, I could grade quickly by clicking on the first point box, and I could move through this assignment quickly by clicking a specific sequence (for example: click first question field-1-tab-1-tab-1-tab-1-click submit).

With the new method…the keystrokes have almost doubled. The new sequence is click first question field-1-tab-tab-1-tab-tab-1-tab-tab-1-wheel scroll 1 to 3 clicks back to the top to find the submit button. This may not seem like a big deal, but this is an assignment with only 4 questions. Future activities have 10 to up to 40 questions for some of the lengthier long term homework’s later in the year for bio.

Essay boxes should not be “tab-able” but should be skipped over like in BH.

The submit button should either float near the bottom or at least appear at the top and then again near the bottom for quick access.

I hope my explanation was clear enough.

I would also like the ability to be able to just click on the number if the student earned full credit instead of manually having to enter the numbers. This also makes grading a lot faster.
