A round-up of all improvements and changes to the Buzz platform in versions v3.0.261 available on December 16, 2021.
Coming soon to Buzz!
We announce significant upcoming features and changes in a standalone Coming soon article that appears at the top of the What's new section.
New Matching question option: Graphic drag and drop
Authors can now format Matching questions as graphic drag and drop interactions where you give students an image with targets, and a list of draggable answer options that they can drag and drop on those targets.
- Set an image as the backdrop for your answer targets on the left.
- Place and size the targets anywhere on the image.
- Create a list of answer options (text and/or media) that are displayed on the right under Choices.
- Learners can drag the answer options to the content they match on the image.

Standards-based grading updates
We have made the following fixes to Standards-based grading courses:
- Resolved an issue with saving Proficiency threshold in Standards-based > Grading settings.
- Resolved an issue with saving Proficiency descriptions in Standards-based grading > Course settings, when the Proficiency level description is empty before making edits.
- Updated the Standards-based gradebook grid to hide activities that teachers have hidden from students.
- Fixed an error where Buzz stopped responding after navigating to the Gradebook > Trends tab when the course has no student enrollments.
Updates
In this release, we:
- Made general accessibility improvements.
- Added length validators to the Create Domain screen's Name and Userspace fields.
- Updated the Activity Editor > Gradebook and Submissions card to show the Grading scale (points) field when a Rubric with Entry type: Score is chosen.
- When you edit the rubric for an activity, the Grading Scale (points) field updates to reflect the rubric's max-points number.
- Added the ability to bulk update the Grading scale (points) field in the editor's Bulk edit screen.

Fixes
- Fixed an issue in the Wiki-page editor where attempting to clear a page’s contents and save would give an error message.
- Fixed an issue where Course cards for Continuous courses with Grading periods (in a domain configured to use School Years and Grading Periods) did not display the rolled-up course score on the student Home page. Buzz now always displays the rolled-up course score in these cases.
- Resolved an issue where answer choice would disappear when reviewing Matching drag-and-drop questions with the Remove used choices from list option selected.
- We have made the following fixes to our Standards-based grading gradebook:
- Resolved an issue with saving Proficiency threshold in Standards-based grading > Grading settings.
- Resolved an issue with saving edits to Course settings > Proficiency descriptions when the Proficiency level description is empty before making the edits.
- Updated the Standards-based gradebook grid to hide activities that teachers have hidden from students.
- Fixed an error where Buzz stopped responding for users who navigated to the Gradebook > Trends tab in a course with no student enrollments.
