In July 2020, the Author view was made part of the Administrator view, and no longer appears as a standalone view option. Admins with authoring permissions now select the Administrator view > Courses screen. From here they can build and edit courses and review learner reports.
Once your Dawn site is set up to collect payments through Stripe, you can easily set full price and promotional course price information from the Admin (Author) view:
- Click Catalog in the Settings menu in the course editor.
- Enter the Price, which is the actual price the purchaser pays for the course.
- Enter a Full price (optional), which is the full price that is shown when the course is using a sale price.
- Create a Promotional message, which shows when the course is using a sale price. If an alternative sales tool needs to be set up for your course, you can use this line to direct customers to that tool (e.g., Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to purchase this course for your entire school district.).
