A round-up of all improvements and changes to the Buzz platform in versions v2.0.161 and v3.0.59, available on June 28, 2018.

The new Buzz UI will be released on July 12!

As previously announced, we are excited to be releasing the new Buzz UI to all Buzz users on July 12, 2018.

The new Buzz UI provides:

  • A more intuitive user experience built with Google's Material Design.
  • Even more opportunities to customize the tool based on your users' needs and tech literacy.
  • Opportunities to introduce new powerful features as you train your users and their skills and interests develop.

We believe the teachers, students, parents, and admins in your schools are going to love the updates, so be sure to spread the word so they're prepared for the change.

The new Buzz UI includes Content Templates!

Content Templates let authors create activities using javascript tools (e.g., TextHelp, MathJax) with fields that can be shared, opened, and edited using Buzz's rich text editor.

This allows teachers and other authors to use and easily make changes to these activities without losing formatting and functionality, or having to learn an external tool (or programming language)!

Fixed issues

In this release, we:

  • Fixed an issue where My Library did not display Choice Folder/Activities.
  • Fixed an issue in the "Activities" gradebook view of a MOS course to correctly display red/green passing colors for activities that override the default course passing score.
  • Fixed an issue where SSO sessions that timed out would sometimes not sign back in using SSO.

New Buzz UI

During the summer of 2017, we released a new Buzz UI, giving you the same features and functionality with a cleaner, simpler user experience!

The release notes in this section pertain only to those using the new Buzz UI.

New Buzz UI updates

In this release, we:

  • Updated Community conversations so that posts initiate a notification email or text that now includes the first 100 plaintext characters of the new post and a direct, deep-link to the message content.
  • Enabled partners who have their own applications to make the emails originate from their email domain instead of agilix.com.

New Buzz UI fixed issues

In this release, we:
