A round-up of all improvements and changes to the Buzz platform in versions v2.0.159 and v3.0.57, available on June 14, 2018.

The new Buzz UI will be released on July 12!

As previously announced, we are excited to be releasing the new Buzz UI to all Buzz users on July 12, 2018.

The new Buzz UI provides:

  • A more intuitive user experience built with Google's Material Design.
  • Even more opportunities to customize the tool based on your users' needs and tech literacy.
  • Opportunities to introduce new powerful features as you train your users and their skills and interests develop.

We believe the teachers, students, parents, and admins in your schools are going to love the updates, so be sure to spread the word so they're prepared for the change.

In this release, we added the ability to collapse/expand the sidebar navigation in the Activities tool to expand the width when completing activities.

New Buzz UI

During the summer of 2017, we released a new Buzz UI, giving you the same features and functionality with a cleaner, simpler user experience!

The release notes in this section pertain only to those using the new Buzz UI.

New Buzz UI updates

In this release, we added the ability to collapse/expand the sidebar navigation in the Activities tool to expand the width when completing activities.

New Buzz UI fixed issues

In this release, we:

  • Fixed an issue where the Activity Editor allowed you to edit the Location field for a choice activity.
  • Fixed a layout issue in the Domain Assessment Password creation window.
  • Changed the cursors used for the assessment tools on the Edge to use a not-allowed cursor for the eliminator (a circle with a line through it) and a text cursor for highlighter (shape of an i-beam).
  • Disabled browser auto-completion on many text input fields across the app.
  • Fixed an issue in the Course Gradebook and Activity Grader Analytics tab where data from inactive enrollments was not being displayed when you had chosen to view it.
  • Enhanced the Test Analytics report to let you choose to include past enrollments in the report.
  • Added a progress bar in the Search tool to indicate when a search is in progress.
  • Fixed an issue where the answer eliminator was not working properly when answer option had a media file.
  • Fixed an issue where answer eliminator graphics were appearing on a printed assessments.
  • Fixed an issue where opening a print preview of an assessment would disable the answer eliminator tool.
  • Fixed an issue with text spacing in the student invite window.
