Release Notes (2018-03-01; v2.0.143 & v3.0.41)

A round-up of all improvements and changes to the Buzz platform in versions v2.0.143 and v3.0.41, available on March 1, 2018.

Fixed issues

In this release, we:

  • Fixed an issue where creating a new course from a domain-defined template did not correctly auto-adjust activity dates in the newly created course.
  • Fixed an issue where a student's LTI activity would not display in the Grade Editor.
  • Fixed an issue where clicking on any student in a blog or journal would not display the student's posts.
  • Changed a label for an option of Grading Periods from "Show the overall course score with the current grading-period score" to "Enable weighted grading periods and final course score." This change is to better describe what function will take place by enabling this feature.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented custom content from jumping to other content if "Fit content to available height and width" was enabled.

New Buzz UI

During the summer of 2017, we released a new Buzz UI, giving you the same features and functionality with a cleaner, simpler user experience!

The release notes in this section pertain only to those using the new Buzz UI.

New Buzz UI updates

In this release, we:

  • In the Test Analytics report, which is available from Admin Reports, we enabled sorting of the Grade columns in the "Proficiency by Course" section of the report. We also made the course titles in each row of that section clickable links. When clicked, Buzz drills into that course details by running the Test Analytics report for the selected course.
  • Updated the Student  > Grades > For Me screen to reflect the new Buzz UI.

New Buzz UI fixed issues

In this release, we:

  • Fixed an issue where creating a new course from a domain-defined template did not correctly auto-adjust activity dates in the newly created course.

  • Fixed an issue where BrainHoney-created question bank queries were not displayed correctly in a Question Editor.
  • Improved the performance and loading of math equations (LaTeX) in the Preview of questions and in the Question Editor.
  • Fixed an issue where an extra back button could display in step 1 of the Test Analytics wizard.
  • Fixed an issue in the User Settings that you could press the "Enter" key in any text fields and the first visible button on the screen would be clicked.
  • Fixed some incorrect punctuation and layout on the "Invite students" dialog of the People tool.

  • RedeemCommandToken: Fixed an issue that prevented redeeming command tokens that contained a "<" in the token's request body.
