A round-up of all improvements and changes to the Buzz platform in versions v2.0.142 and v3.0.40, available on February 22, 2018.

Fixed issues

In this release, we:

  • Added an aria-label to the top-most app toolbar to identify it to screen-readers as the main toolbar.
  • Fixed an issue where sometimes changes made to Metadata fields would be saved when a user clicked Cancel instead of Save after making the edits.
  • Added missing labels for screen-readers on the teacher's course home page for projects and agendas toolbars.
  • Fixed an issue where in the Syllabus Editor, you could not drop an item from My Library or from the "Resource" panel into an empty course to create the first course item.
  • Updated the Activity Grader and Analytics tabs to show inactive enrollments.

New Buzz UI

During the summer of 2017, we released a new Buzz UI, giving you the same features and functionality with a cleaner, simpler user experience!

The release notes in this section pertain only to those using the new Buzz UI.

New Buzz UI updates

In this release, we:

  • Updated the Teacher > Gradebook > For Me screen to reflect the new Buzz UI.
  • Added embed YouTube and other content options to the rich text editors for question editors.
  • Updated tables in the rich text editors, so you can now choose No borders as a style. Simply select the cell(s) you want to edit, choose the paintbrush icon, and click No borders.

New Buzz UI fixed issues

In this release, we:

  • Fixed an issue where sometimes changes made to Metadata fields would be saved when a user clicked Cancel instead of Save after making the edits.
  • Added missing labels for screen-readers on the teacher's course home page for projects and agendas toolbars.
  • Fixed an issue where in the Syllabus Editor, you could not drop an item from My Library or from the "Resource" panel into an empty course to create the first course item.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented a custom activity from opening a link in a new window.
  • Updated the Changes screen to show all edits made to passwords in Derivative course items.
  • Fixed an issue that would cause the cursor to move unexpectedly when using Quick edit mode in the Gradebook.

  • Assessments: Fixed an issue where the points possible for a question bank was being overridden. This would occur if the question bank pointed to another question bank. The top-most question bank will be honored.
  • History Query: Fixed an issue to correctly use requiretolist with non-student enrollments and enrollments with no metrics history.
