This is great! It would be even better if teachers could do this as well!

Agreed, this would be a great feature for teachers!

It is very important that teachers be allowed to rearrange their course cards also - not sure why we were "Banned" from doing it...

Thank you, for your feedback regarding reordering cards in the teacher app. We'll make sure our teams are aware of it.

One of the reasons why students have this ability is because they have no control over which courses appear in their experience; this is always controlled by their teachers or administrators. We introduced this for them so that they can be organized by period or to move older (or irrelevant) courses that are no longer applicable to the bottom. We also identified that it was more difficult for kids to deduce the order (alphabetical) of the courses.

At the time this was introduced, teachers had (and still do) the ability to hide their own courses. Since teachers can choose to remove old courses or courses they don't want to see for themselves, this feature was never built for the teacher experience. In other words, teachers were never "banned" from doing this; the teacher and student home pages are two completely different tools with different features.

Is there any update on when/if this feature might be available for teachers? I just had a teacher ask about it today. They want to hide some courses (which they know they can do) but they also want to reorder so their larger "priority" courses are at the top and the courses they interact with less are at the bottom.

Hello Shaun!

Currently there are no plans on the horizon for this to become a feature within Buzz, However, that can change at anytime in the future and doesn't mean that it won't occur. If you are not currently "following" the What's New page, I recommend doing so as we will let users know if this changes through that page.
