A round-up of all improvements and changes to the Buzz platform in version 2.0.65, available on September 1, 2016.

Updates

In this release, we:

  • Added a Disable application animations button to the User Menu for accessibility.
  • Many updates were made to the Teacher app to improve accessibility for users with a visual impairment. While many of the updates were under-the-hood, users may notice improved keyboard navigation throughout multiple tools and slight style changes to selected and focussed buttons and menu options.
  • If there is only one category in a course, hide the Category chooser in the Activity Editor Gradebook tab.
  • Removed Weight in category field from Gradebook settings in Mult-Outcome Scoring enabled courses..
  • Revised the confirmation dialog displayed when users drop an enrollment to better reflect the action (changed "delete" to "drop").
  • Improved Buzz's ability to handle table content pasted in from Microsoft Word.

Fixed issues

In this release, we:

  • Refined the buttons to better indicate the possible actions in Student Choice activities.
  • Updated scoring displays for individuals outcomes (in Multi-Outcome Scoring enabled courses) to reflect the score display settings for the course.
  • Fixed an issue that kept users from choosing and adding resources with Embed content in the Landing page rich text editor.
  • Fixed an issue that wouldn't recognize .png resources as .pngs when the file extension was in all caps (i.e., PNG).
  • Fixed an issue that kept font styles from being applied to all of the selected text.

Editor (beta) fixes

In this release, we:

  • Updated the Editor question previewer to include a visual indicator that distinguishes eval text.
  • Revised the assessment question previewer, so that "Passage" questions are no longer took up a number position in the assessment.
  • Fixed an issue that kept newly created activities from inheriting objectives that were added to the new activity's parent folder.
  • Fixed an issue that caused questions linked from other courses to show the linked course ID when previewed, rather than showing a preview. Users now see the question preview, as expected.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed Project folders to be dragged to invalid locations.
  • Fixed a typo in Gradebook settings.
  • Fixed an issue that would incorrectly parse HTML code.
  • Fixed an error displayed when you don't select a resource for a Custom Activity and preview the activity.
