Ordering questions ask students to put items in the correct order.
Ordering question options
Buzz allows you to set these up in various ways:
Ordering questions: vertical drag and drop
You can list the options (text and/or media) that need to be put in order vertically under the question. Students can drag and drop the options into the desired place. To use this option, check the Drag and drop box in the Interaction card.

Ordering questions: horizontal drag and drop
You can list the options (text and/or media) that need to be put in order horizontally under the question. Students can drag and drop the options into the desired place. To use this option, check the Drag and drop and Horizontal orientation boxes in the Interaction card.

Ordering questions: clickable arrows
You can list the options (text and/or media) that need to be put in order vertically under the question. Students can click the up and down arrows next to the options to move them into into the desired place. This is the default option for the question.

Create Ordering questions
Ordering questions can be added to assessments and practice questions activities:
- Add the Assessment or Practice Questions activity.
- Add an ordering question to the activity.
- Follow the directions, below.
Question content
- Specify how many Points the question is worth.
- Enter the question as you want it displayed to students.
- Enter the answer options in the fields below. Check the box next to the answer option(s) that are correct.
- Use the answer option side menus to:
- Remove the option.
- Lock the options position in the list.
- Enter the Correct order in the field below.
- Click Add order entry to create new answer options.

- This section pictures and explains the default visual editor; enable the Text editor to create and edit questions with the advanced Text editor.

Interaction
To manage the question's Interaction:
- Indicate how you want the answer options labeled.
- Check the Maintain response order box to randomize only the order of the answer options.
- Check Drag and drop box to allow students to arrange them using drag and drop functions (instead of arrows).
- Check the Horizontal orientation to list the options horizontally.
- Check Display workspace to give students a rich text editor where they can record their notes and processes as they work on the question.
- If enabled in your domain, you can also allow students to record and upload video or audio responses as part of their notes.
- Provide a Custom question definition (contact support for additional assistance).

Metadata
Add the question to an existing Group with the associated ID, or create a new one. Groups allow you to vary settings for different questions.

Objective mastery
Click Choose objective in the Objective mastery card to review and align the question with objective(s). Once you've clicked it, you can:
- Use the Filter field to search for specific objectives.
- Check the boxes next to objectives to align them with the question. This makes it possible to set up Formative and Remediation assessments.

Score
Use the Score card to indicate:
- If you want to allow for Partial credit.
- And, if so, if you want to automatically Round the score.
- If you want the question to count as Extra credit.

Variables
With the Variables section you can create a range or list of variables for use in the question.

Calculator
Check the appropriate box(es) to provide students with one or more of the following calculators to use with this question (Basic, Standard, and/or Scientific). This can also be specified for the entire activity with the Assessment activity editor.

Companion Material
Click Add material in Companion Material to attach any supplemental documents students need to complete this question. You can do this by:
- Pointing to existing resources in the course.
- Uploading new files (PDFs only).
