Throughout Buzz, users can track student progress in a course, using progress bars and percentages that show the number of activities the student has completed in comparison with the total amount of possible activities.
On March 3, 2016, the way Buzz calculates a student’s progress in a course will change. Previously, excused activities have been excluded from the calculation; now, these activities will be included and treated as completed. So, if a student has been excused from some activities because they either showed mastery in a formative assessment or the teacher manually excused them, their completion percentage will appear higher.
This change will better represent how many of the activities a student has either completed or mastered and the user will better understand how much of the course curriculum they have completed or have yet to complete.
