A round-up of all improvements and changes to the Buzz platform in version 3.0.34, available on January 11, 2018.

Updates

In this release, we updated external calendar sync to include target due dates from enrollments in a continuous course.

Fixed issues

In this release, we:

  • Updated displayed page numbers to reset on navigating from one screen in the Digital Library to another.
  • Added a print button to the print student grades dialog to allow for content to load fully before printing.
  • Updated the way the Assessment question editor to include questions from subscriptions when listing question linking options.

New Buzz UI

During the summer of 2017, we released a new Buzz UI, giving you the same features and functionality with a cleaner, simpler user experience!

The release notes in this section pertain only to those using the new Buzz UI.

New Buzz UI updates

In this release, we:

  • Updated the Student Gradebook screen to reflect the new Buzz UI.
  • Updated external calendar sync to include target due dates from enrollments in a continuous course.

New Buzz UI fixed issues

In this release, we:

  • Fixed an issue that would display the Filter By Groups icon in the Activities toolbar for courses without defined groups.
  • Fixed an issue that would display the Self-Assessment Update and Cancel buttons for Parents/Observers and Admins viewing Student Self-Assessments.
  • Fixed an issue that would not allow Admins to edit Agendas when accessing them through the Admin app.
  • Updated the "Convert Folder to Project" screen of the Editor tool to show only top-level folders from the current domain-level Grading Periods if one is defined. Formerly, it showed top-level folders from all grading periods.
  • Updated the Editor > Unit Summary tab in the teacher Gradebook to reset to the root of the course when a teacher switches the visible grading period.
  • Fixed an issue where activities associated with a period would not display in the Editor > Syllabus editor after a restore them from the recycle bin without manual refresh.
  • Fixed an issue where existing assessments would not get saved with scoring objectives after turning on scoring objectives in course settings. The user still has to open and save the assessment to get the objectives saved. Previously, we were not detecting any changes to be saved in this scenario.
  • Fixed an issue where switching between questions in the Assessment Editor could cause the Editor to hang.
  • Updated the width of the Points field in the Assessment question editor to accommodate numbers with four digits.
  • Fixed an issue where existing activity rubrics were not being displayed as available rubric templates in the activity editor.
  • Updated the proxy as field to ignore extra spaces when pasting a user ID into it.
  • Fixed an issue where a blank page was displayed when teachers clicked on activity stream entries from a course they didn't have rights to. Now a message is displayed.
  • Fixed an issue where the period filter would not change the displayed scores in the final grades page on a domain with periods, but without domain-level Grading Periods enabled.
  • Fixed an issue with padding of filter dropdown controls on some filter bars.
  • We updated the default weight for periods with zero weight (when choosing a school year In course Settings) to ensure that a period score displays in the Gradebook.
  • Fixed an issue where some number columns in reports were being set as 'NaN' instead of a blank cell.
  • Updated navigation in the Student app, so students are never automatically navigated to a newly created, self-assigned task.

  • GetUserActivityStream: Fixed an issue where a value of INF could exist in an activity stream entry.
  • ListUsers: Updated the documentation to indicate how to query users by their active status.
  • GetCalendar: Updated the response to also include the target due dates from enrollments in a continuous course. This request is used when syncing due dates with external calendars.
