A round-up of all improvements and changes to the Buzz platform in versions 2.0.128/129 and 3.0.25/26, available on November 9, 2017.

Fixed issues

In this release, we:

  • Replaced the generic error message when the browser is blocking a Google Drive popup with a specific message that reads: Your browser popup blocker blocked access to Google Drive. Please allow popups for this site and try again.
  • Fixed an issue where activity date and time information in the To-do List would be altered by the value entered into the search field.
  • Fixed an issue where a course wouldn't appear as active if the start day was today when creating a new enrollment.

New Buzz UI

During the summer of 2017, we released a new Buzz UI, giving you the same features and functionality with a cleaner, simpler user experience!

The release notes in this section pertain only to those using the new Buzz UI.

New Buzz UI fixed issues

In this release, we:

  • Replaced the generic error message when the browser is blocking a Google Drive popup with a specific message that reads: Your browser popup blocker blocked access to Google Drive. Please allow popups for this site and try again.
  • Fixed an issue where a course wouldn't appear as active if the start day was today when creating a new enrollment.
  • [Firefox] Fixed an issue that kept the Role selector dropdown from appearing in the User Menu when using Firefox.
  • Fixed an issue that would allow users to assign tasks from the Clipboard when no course appeared to be selected.
  • Fixed an issue where the Grading Periods dropdown would appear in activity settings for folders and top-level, non-gradable activities.
  • Fixed an issue where users would get an "unable to save" error message when trying to toggle the LTI setting for Custom Activity.
  • Fixed an issue where the Activity History when the teacher does not have editing rights to the master course.
  • Removed the Add Attachments option from folders.
  • Removed Minimum points possible option from Activity Editors.
  • Fixed an incorrect label in the visibility settings that improperly reflected that items could be hidden from the student's To-do List.
  • Fixed an issue when saving changes to Assessment pool settings.
  • Fixed an error message style issue in the User Menu > Notification preferences card.
  • Fixed an issue where scrollbars would unnecessarily display.
  • Fixed an issue where scrollbars would unnecessarily display.
  • Fixed an issue where various fields would not be aligned correctly.
  • Fixed an issue where a user could not enter their phone number for Notifications.
  • Fixed an issue that would navigate parents/observers to the Choose a student to observe screen when selecting an activity from the Grade Details instead of opening the activity.
  • Fixed an issue that would cause the Items per page setting in the Unit Summary to revert to the default (50) after a user had changed it and then chosen a folder.
