A round-up of all improvements and changes to the Buzz platform in versions 2.0.126 and 3.0.23, available on October 26, 2017.

Fixed issues

In this release, we:

  • Updated the Clipboard to strike through inactive students in groups the same as we do for inactive students in quick lists. Inactive students in a group are not added to the Clipboard, when the group is added.
  • Fixed an issue where the course Recycle Bin would sometimes show the wrong name in the Deleted By column.
  • Fixed an issue where the Editor would display weights set to 0 as 100.
  • Fixed an issue where Formative assessment scores were being displayed on the Student Grades screen when configured not to show them.
  • Fixed an issue where student details would not be displayed in the Performance > Unit Summary screen when no activities were available in a course.
  • Updated all rubrics to allow zero points for levels.
  • Fixed an issue where scores submitted for Clipboard tasks wouldn't be dependably displayed in the Gradebook tool.

New Buzz UI

During the summer of 2017, we released a new Buzz UI, giving you the same features and functionality with a cleaner, simpler user experience!

The release notes in this section pertain only to those using the new Buzz UI.

New Buzz UI highlights

We've updated the Reports screens to include guided, step-by-step directions to help you more easily run reports.

New Buzz UI fixed issues

In this release, we:

  • Updated tabs to better reflect the material design updates to Buzz UI.
  • Updated the Clipboard to strike through inactive students in groups the same as we do for inactive students in quick lists. Inactive students in a group are not added to the Clipboard, when the group is added.

  • [Safari on iPad] Fixed an issue where screen size limits were not being applied to PDFs when opened on iPads with Safari.
  • [iPad] Fixed a scrolling issue when using Buzz on an iPad using a custom login page.
  • Fixed an issue where setting an activity to Stop accepting submissions wouldn't update the activity's Due date without manual refresh.
  • Fixed an issue where, when moving from the Editor tool in one course to another, the My library panel wouldn't load results for the second course.
  • Fixed an issue where Self assessment values were not consistently updated/displayed after being set.
  • Fixed an issue where the Show dropbox button wouldn't appear for students when they opened a dropbox activity from a course link.
  • Added a prompt to save changes when navigating away from viewing a single activity from a course link.

APIs

  • ExtendSession: A new API to refresh the API authorization token, extending the expiration for the duration originally specified at login. This replaces the now obsolete GetCookie API.
  • Login2: A new API to authenticate a user and initiate a session for them. This replaces the now obsolete Login API.
